Ultra-High Grade Anthracite

Suitable as a carbon additive to blast furnaces and steel by products. UHG normally has a higher fixed carbon content than HG.

Naturally occuring UHG will be extracted from the Peacock seam. This is the highest quality anthracite available and is exceptionally hard with a blue lustre. Alternately, the HG product can be blended with the calcined product to reduce the volatile and increase the carbon content to the customers requirement.

UHG has a low ash content and is therefore almost pure carbon. The fixed carbon content of our UHG is higher than most other anthracites available worldwide.

This is a market leading product.

95CCARBON

CARBON CONTENT

Fixed carbon is 95% representing the solid combustible residue that remains after a coal particle is heated and the volatile matter is expelled. The fixed-carbon content is over 89% determined by subtracting the percentages of moisture, volatile matter, and ash from the coal.
